The Man With The Twisted Lip – Arthur Conan Doyle

The Man With the Twisted LipThe Man With the Twisted Lip by Arthur Conan Doyle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I hadn’t read this one before, evidently tales of opium dens and street beggars don’t make it into the childrens version of Holmes I read as a young boy(!)

There aren’t many clues but the conclusion is still pretty obvious unfortunately. I also have a problem with the fact a wife can’t see through make up, however well applied, at short distance or discern the fact that her husband’s clothes stink of the opium den he walks through at the end of each day.
